You will do

The main mission consists in delivering first and second level support:
- Qualification and resolution of incidents
- Service requests management in relation with international customers
- Frequent interactions with users via telephone, email and instant messaging
Other responsibilities consist in:
- managing complex Windows platforms,
- creating Microsoft SCCM application packages,
- implementing various IT solutions related to infrastructure and / or customers’ business applications based on various technologies (small projects awarded to enable our engineers to constantly acquire new technical skills)

You have

- HES or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Communication Systems, Telecommunication

You will also activate your network in the industry, identify interesting tenders and approach corporations, institutions and event management agencies to present our products. You will be in charge of B-Com business activity and profitability worldwide. You are assertive and entrepreneurial and want to have a big impact in the change of event management industry.

 

You will do

 

- Design and implement various marketing initiatives, including lead generation campaigns, tradeshows attendance and Social Media activities

The Software Engineering department is looking for diploma work students in Computer Science to design and implement innovative features for its leading software solution: B-Com Community and Event Management platform

You will have the opportunity to actively demonstrate your skills and creativity, and benefit from our team knowledge and experience. You will be able to fully understand the process of delivering large applications (10+ years of development in C# .Net, close to 900 tables, largely more than 5Mio lines of code, 4 major and highly innovative releases a year… and a lot more to come) in an international environment.

Internships can be organized for a large sets of projects related to the development of B-Com, our event management platform. They can take place in Geneva or Bangalore; according to the project.

1. Real-Time Business Reporting (4-6 months internship)

During your internship, you will expand the reporting capabilities of B-Com with useful real-time information: how many people have registered themselves in the last day, how many free hotel rooms are still available, the number of aborted registrations and many more, all in the mindset of providing useful information about the status of the projects organized with B-Com, so that they can be used as a basis for business decisions. You will have to specify as well as implement the information flow from action performed in the application to report output on a web dashboard / reporting sheet in an efficient way.

2. Continuing Education Credit Systems integration (6 months master project)

Attending a congress organized by the B-Com software may give its attendees credits towards their continuing education requirements. The goal of this project is to implement such a credit system in B-Com and allow its users to track their education goals and, on the organizer side, to award such credits. This project will include all the stages of the development – requirements gathering, specification as well as implementation of a useful feature of B-Com, an existing product already in use by many businesses.

3. One-to-one meeting matchmaking (4-6 master project)

During Trade Shows, buyers and sellers of different products have time to meet one-to-one to discuss business opportunities. The goal of this project is to help trade-show participants building their schedule and finding the most interesting business opportunities. Depending on the factors taken into account this is an NP-hard problem but there are different heuristic algorithms that may be applied. During your project, you will have the opportunity to integrate this matchmaking process in the B-Com product, both on the user-visible side (participants to the trade show defining their preferences and reviewing their schedule) as well as the algorithmic side (researching how to optimize preferences, comparing solutions).

4. Mobile Application Development (4-6 months internship)

For the B-Com mobile application framework called “Mobile Application Factory”, PSiDEO would like to develop new fancy features in order to increase participants’ engagement and make them communicate together as well as with the congress’ speakers. This internship allows discovering modern mobile development technologies as well as the event management world.

5. User Activity Tracking Module (3-4 months internship)

In order to analyze users’ activity and behavior, the B-Com Software Team would like to provide its users with fine-grained tracking reports to optimize attendees experience and users’ conversion rate while ensuring users privacy and related legal requirements.

Our IT infrastructure department in Bangalore will be composed of two teams:

1)    System engineering: The system engineering team serves our local clients and closely works with the extended system engineering teams in Switzerland and Singapore ensuring “end to end" involvement in global PSiDEO and clients ‘infrastructure integration and management.

He / she will as well actively participate to all the system engineering operations:
-    Delivery and maintenance of complex and geographically dispersed multi-tenants IT infrastructures according to our customers’ business needs and following IT best practices
-    Monitoring to ensure reliability and security of infrastructures based on Microsoft SCOM and security tools

The aim of this project is to improve user experience while paying a particular attention to non-functional constraints such as adaptability and fault-tolerance (seamless online/offline switch, graceful degradation).
 

2. Business data synchronization framework for an event management platform (6 months internship)

Our solution is an event management platform developed in collaboration with one of the market leader in congress and corporate meeting organization. In this context, PSideo wants to design and implement a framework that will be able to synchronize business object graphs between two relational databases. The main goal is to be able to synchronize only a subset of the data corresponding to a limited business context such as one specific event. This synchronization framework will be used in the context of B-Com but also for other business applications developed by PSiDEO.
